A new podcast, produced by the University of Oxford, is providing analysis and insight into the latest evidence on vaping, its relative safety, and its effectiveness of vaping as a smoking cessation tool.
The podcast is hosted by Jamie Hartmann-Boyce and Nicola Lindson and interviews a range of experts who have led or been part of trials and studies connected to vaping.
Describing the podcast in its latest edition, Hartmann-Boyce says: “This podcast is a companion to a research project being carried out at the University of Oxford where every month we search the e-cigarette research literature to find new studies. We then use these studies to update our Cochrane systematic review of e-cigarettes for smoking cessation. This process is called a living systematic review.”
The Cochrane review has been collecting research on the e-cigarette sector since 2014.
In each episode of the monthly podcast, the hosts go through the latest research in the field and choose one study to analyse in depth.
The podcast is widely available in most podcast platforms including Spotify.
