Experts are gathering this week to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the vape market in the year ahead.
The half-day conference to explore the future of the vape and new nicotine market will take place on Tuesday (27 April).
GTNF Trust’s In Focus: Tobacco Harm Reduction will take place at a critical year for consumers and manufacturers as the UK reduces its COVID restrictions.
The virtual event will also come ahead of the World Health Organization’s Conference of the Parties (COP9) for the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control as well as EU draft the next Tobacco Products Directive with tightened vape restrictions.
Organisers says the keynote speakers and panellists – which include individuals from Juul Labs, Reynolds America and three universities – will use “whole-of-government” and “whole-of-society” approaches, similar to those adopted by the United Nations, to address the challenges that lie ahead.
Subjects on the agenda include: Evidence from countries with and without tobacco harm reduction (THR) products, modelling to predict the impact of THR products on populations and how to tackle some of the myths which surround the vape market.
The event is free and those wanting to attend can sign up at: https://www.infocusthr.org/
