Juul distribution grows with Booker deal

Vaping manufacturer Juul Labs has agreed to supply Booker wholesale depots in a significant step up in the distribution of the brand.

The agreement means the Juul range is now available the 135 Booker branches with a tobacco room, with all Booker customers (retailers) who stock the products required to comply with a Challenge 25 policy.

John Patterson, sales director for Juul Labs said: “The agreement with Booker not only gives thousands of unaffiliated retailers access to Juul but also Booker’s symbol group customers. Many Premier, Londis and Budgens stores will already stock Juul products but this agreement will make re-stocking and delivery easier as they will be able to order through their Booker accounts.”

Products included in the deal include: Juul Starter Kit (Juul device, USB Charger and four Juulpods), Juul single device and five 18mg/ml Juulpods refill packs (Golden Tobacco, Glacier Mint, Mango Nectar, Royal Creme and Alpine Berry.

Mr Patterson says that Juul is now the number one closed pod system in the UK despite only having limited distribution in comparison to other brands. “We know that, where stocked, Juul is driving category sales.,” he says.

“Every retailer that stocks tobacco should also be providing smokers with an alternative as tobacco is still the number one cause of preventable death worldwide. But we realise that retailers are at different stages in their vaping offer and have limited space in-store. We have therefore invested in a range of display units from counter-top units to permanent FSDUs [free-standing display units] to offer retailers a solution depending on their requirements and budgets.”
